There’s been a huge royal housing switch-up in the wake of the Queen’s passing, and pretty much everyone is moving. Ahem:
- King Charles is expected to (at some point!) move into Buckingham Palace.
- Kate Middleton and Prince William might move into Windsor Castle proper.
- Prince Andrew is terrified he’ll get kicked out of the Royal Lodge.
- And Princess Eugenie is coming off tension with Kate and Wills over Adelaide Cottage.
But perhaps you’re wondering about Eugenie’s sister, Princess Beatrice! Or not, lol, but we’re going to discuss her anyway.
Amid this royal real estate shake-up, Princess Beatrice has reportedly been living with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (and their new bb) at St. James Palace in Westminster. More specifically, in a giant palace apartment complete with four bedrooms. Oh, and their neighbors at the palace include Princess Anne and Princess Alexandra (who is the late Queen’s cousin).
However, The Sun reported that Beatrice and her family are expected to move out of London to a new manor home in the Cotswolds, which they purchased for a casual £3.5 million in 2021. This place is much bigger and has six bedrooms, not to mention a swimming pool and a tennis court. Bea also has safety in mind and has reportedly installed “six-foot-high security gates” ahead of her move.
Bea and Edo are not working members of the royal family, so their move out of the palace and into a private home definitely makes sense. Especially since Charles is seeking to remove Beatrice as one of his official stand-ins. More on that drama here:
